KIEV, March 24 (Xinhua) -- The online systems of the Ukrainian state railways were hit by a large-scale targeted cyberattack on Sunday, the company said in a statement.
"The restoration of all systems has been ongoing for the past day and is still in progress," according to the statement on Monday.
The company said that despite the cyberattack, traffic operations remain stable, with all trains running smoothly and without delays.
According to the company, backup systems were used to ensure uninterrupted services. However, online ticket sales remain unavailable.
On Sunday, Ukrainian State Railways reported that its online services were not functioning. The company initially attributed the interruption to a technical failure. ■
