BEIJING, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Domestic comedy "Successor" continued to top the Chinese mainland's daily box office on Thursday, grossing approximately 19.03 million yuan (about 2.66 million U.S. dollars), according to the China Movie Data Information Network.
It was followed by the Chinese animated film "White Snake: Afloat" on the daily box office chart, which raked in about 16.66 million yuan on Thursday.
Realistic drama "Upstream" came in third with 16.58 million yuan in revenue on the day.
The total box office revenue on the Chinese mainland on Thursday was 74.14 million yuan. ■
