SHANGHAI, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Keenon Robotics, a leading commercial service robotics company based in the Chinese city of Shanghai, was founded in 2010.
Tang Xuanlai, majored in artificial intelligence, joined the R&D team of Keenon Robotics ten years ago, hoping to make contributions to the development of commercial robots. The team was started with a handful of members, and now it boasts nearly 300 employees. Their products have developed from the initial rail-bound catering robots to a variety of robotic categories including guidance, disinfection, cleaning and unmanned delivery for different scenarios.
"I can still recall the passion and thrill I felt when the first robot we designed went off the assembly line," Tang said. With the continuous expansion in the scale of the global commercial robot market and the development of local enterprises, more and more young people in China are becoming the leading force for scientific and technological innovation in the field of robotics.
