UNITED NATIONS, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Russia on Thursday vetoed a United Nations (UN) Security Council draft resolution extending the mandate of the Panel of Experts assisting the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Sanctions Committee.
The U.S.-drafted resolution won the support of 13 of the 15 members of the Security Council. Russia voted against it. China abstained.
The draft resolution would have extended the mandate of the Panel of Experts until April 30, 2025. ■
