Since 2008, the Chinese Navy has consistently dispatched 45 escort fleets, with more than 27,000 officers and soldiers, to the Gulf of Aden and the waters off Somalia over the course of 15 years.
It's phenomenally difficult. It's genuinely effective.
As a result, over 7,200 vessels have safely traversed this perilous region under the protection of a Chinese Navy escort fleet.■
