BEIJING, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Fusheng, former deputy head of the formerly-named fire and rescue department under the Ministry of Emergency Management, has been indicted on charges of taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said Saturday.
Zhang's case has been filed by the People's Procuratorate of Fuzhou, Fujian Province, to the city's intermediate people's court.
Prosecutors accused Zhang of taking advantage of his various posts at the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Emergency Management to seek benefits for others and accept an especially huge amount of money and valuables in exchange.
The prosecutors had informed the defendant of his litigation rights, interrogated him, and listened to the defense counsel's opinions. ■
