TEHRAN, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Iran's intelligence forces have arrested seven members of a "terrorist" network affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) group in the southeastern province of Kerman, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday.
The "terrorist" network sought to cause insecurity in the country, but was smashed in a joint operation carried out by the forces of the provincial intelligence office and the Intelligence Organization of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps over the past few days, Tasnim quoted Kerman's Prosecutor General Mehdi Bakhshi as saying.
He added the "terrorists," who were arrested before being able to perpetrate any act of terror, would be brought to judicial proceedings soon. ■
