Lichun, or the Beginning of Spring, is the first of the 24 solar terms on the Chinese lunar calendar. The Beginning of Spring also signifies the beginning of a new year, where every living thing starts another period of growth and renewal. In traditional Chinese culture, the Beginning of Spring bears the blessing of a new start, marking the end of bleak winter days.
