SANAA, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Hunger is still the most pressing challenge facing Yemen, a country with the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, according to the United Nations.

The hiking price of grain caused by the Ukraine-Russia crisis has caused more hunger in the war-ravaged Arab country, warned Hossam Elsharkawi, the regional director for Middle East and North Africa of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

"The current situation in Yemen is a hundred times worse than it was before the crisis," he said.
