A total of 97 people had tested positive for COVID-19 as of Tuesday noon in north China's Tianjin Municipality in the latest resurgence caused by the Omicron variant, according to local authorities.
Zhang Boli, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, stressed the importance of self-protection in an interview with Xinhua.
Zhang also noted four key points for Tianjin to fight against the Omicron spread.
