SEOUL, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Friday accused South Korea of sending drones over Pyongyang, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.

The DPRK Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Friday evening, saying that South Korea has sent drones multiple times recently to drop anti-DPRK propaganda leaflets, scattering them over Pyongyang at night on Oct. 3, 9 and 10, according to the KCNA.

The statement condemned South Korea of incursion into DPRK airspace, calling the incidents a flagrant violation of the DPRK's sovereignty and an offense that amounts to severe provocation. The DPRK military is making preparations accordingly, the statement added.

South Korea's military on Friday denied the accusation, saying that "it did not send drones into North Korea."

Yonhap news agency quoted South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) as saying that the South Korean military sent no unmanned drone over the DPRK.
