YANGON, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar earned 244.489 million U.S. dollars from the export of fishery products in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2023-24 through next March, according to the Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday.
The ministry's figures showed a decline from the 273.217 million U.S. dollars recorded a year earlier.
During the cited period, the country's total export was valued at over 6.4 billion U.S. dollars, the ministry said.
Myanmar mainly exports agricultural products, animal products, marine products, minerals, forest products, manufacturing goods and others to other countries and regions. It mainly imports capital goods, intermediate goods and consumer goods. ■
