LHASA, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Namgtal Drolma, now 35, became a childcare worker at a Lhasa-based welfare house in early 2019. Together with other colleagues, she stays by the children's side 24 hours a day, taking only 40 days off each year. What they face every day are trivial yet challenging issues: toddlers soiling their pants, mischievous primary school students, and adolescents going through rebellious puberty.
Over nearly eight years, Drolma has truly felt the warmth through the time spent accompanying and caring for the children.
On the eve of this Mother's Day, Drolma received hada scarves, which symbolize purity and auspiciousness, and other gifts from the children.
