NAGAON, India, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- In Nagaon district of northeast India's Assam state, a group of women workers used handlooms underneath the canopy of trees, weaving Mekhela Sador threads that shined with bright pink luster.
Mekhela Sador is a traditional sarong worn by Assamese women and it consists of two parts, the bottom portion draped from the waist downwards (mekhela) and the top portion of the two-piece dress (sador).
