ZHENGZHOU, April 14 (Xinhua) -- China's first cross-border e-commerce retail import of drugs was officially launched on Monday in Henan Bonded Logistics Center, marking the start of the pilot project.
The program covers 13 non-prescription drugs licensed for sale in China.
Consumers can shop online through the "Global Bay" platform and a WeChat applet, or buy their drugs at designated offline pharmacies.
With a unique QR code, each box of drugs can be traced through the whole process.
The pilot program may expand its categories and increase the list of items after being approved by the state in the future.
