SHANGHAI, April 13 (Xinhua) -- The largest makeshift hospital in China's Shanghai has fully been put into use to aid the megacity's fight against resurging COVID-19.
The hospital is converted from the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
It covers about 420,000 square meters with a capacity of 50,000 beds.
Shanghai has been reporting a high number of COVID-19 infections since March.
At the crucial stage, construction workers from across the country raced against time to construct the hospital.
So far Shanghai has built over 100 makeshift hospitals for COVID-19 treatment.
