China's coastal city builds a complete commercial space industry chain

Haiyang in east China's Shandong Province is building a complete commercial space industry chain, covering rocket manufacturing, satellite development, sea-based launches and space data applications. At the Oriental Spaceport, 27 sea-based rocket launch missions have been successfully supported, sending 166 satellites into orbit as of August. Space technology is also being applied in agriculture, environmental monitoring and maritime management.■
