
WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- A medical plane with six people on board lost contact on Saturday while flying from Bermuda to Boston, the U.S. Coast Guard said in a statement.
"At approximately 2 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration notified the Coast Guard that contact had been lost with the Gulfstream G100 aircraft, tail number C-GRJP," the statement said.
The Coast Guard said its air and surface crews are searching an area off the coast of Nantucket.
The missing plane was operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, a Canadian medical evacuation company, according to media reports. ■
