Ayako Kurahashi, 79, donated to a Chinese university a replica of a monument bearing her father's apology for what he did during Japan's invasion of China decades ago.
Kurahashi's father, Yukichi Osawa, served in the military police troop of the Japanese Kwantung Army and said he felt deeply remorseful for everything he had done to the Chinese people.
