Forty-two wild Asian elephants have arrived in Ning'er, southwest China's Yunnan Province!
Thermal-imaging drones monitored the three herds around the clock. Even in complete darkness, thermal sensors could locate the elephants, allowing monitors to send real-time alerts to nearby villages when needed. This gave residents time to steer clear while the elephants moved on undisturbed.
