UAE-donated date palms are bearing fruit at trial bases in Hainan, Yunnan and Sichuan, marking fresh progress in localized cultivation. Trials have now expanded to 18 cities and counties across five provincial-level regions, covering 899 mu (about 60 hectares), as China and the UAE deepen cooperation on date palm research and industry development.■
