BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Liqiu, or the Beginning of Autumn, is the first day of autumn on the Chinese lunisolar calendar. It falls on Aug. 7 this year. For many Chinese, Liqiu marks the time for harvest and the tradition of "sticking on autumn fat" to replenish their energy for the coming months.
