On July 9, Daniel Leaf, former U.S. Pacific Command Deputy Commander, visited Quzhou in east China's Zhejiang Province to recall the 84-year-old history of the Doolittle Raid rescue. He called for more in-depth people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and for carrying forward the China-U.S. friendship forged in blood and fire.■
