MACAO, June 26 (Xinhua) -- The Macao 2026 Specialized World Stamp Exhibition opened on Friday at the Cotai Expo of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), showcasing a lineup of rare philatelic items from around the globe.
According to the organizers, the exhibition featured a competitive lineup of approximately 1,500 frames of philatelic gems and hosted over 40 domestic and international sales booths.
Lao Lan Wa, the exhibition's chairman and acting director of the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT), expressed his gratitude to the international philatelic community for bringing the exhibition to Macao for the first time. He noted that the event aims to unite global philatelists to share collections, exchange insights, and strengthen international connections.
The event was divided into six thematic days, with corresponding commemorative envelopes or postcards distributed free of charge. Visitors can participate in a wide array of specialized seminars and workshops.
The event was co-organized by the CTT and the Macau Philatelic Association and was scheduled to run until July 1.■
