Shenzhou-21 astronauts return to Earth after record 210-day mission
The three astronauts of China's Shenzhou-21 mission returned to Earth safely on Friday evening aboard the Shenzhou-22 crewed spaceship, wrapping up a 210-day stay in orbit that set a new record for the longest single-crew mission aboard China's space station.
The trio consisting of Zhang Lu, Wu Fei and Zhang Hongzhang are all in good health, said the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), noting that the Shenzhou-21 spaceflight mission is a complete success.
At 7:20 p.m. (Beijing Time), the Beijing Aerospace Control Center issued a return command via the ground station, and in response the orbital capsule of the Shenzhou-22 spaceship separated from the return capsule.
Trump outlines conditions for Iran deal including nuclear material removal
U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday outlined conditions for a deal with Iran, including the elimination of Iran's enriched nuclear materials, reopening the Strait of Hormuz with no tolls and removing water mines left.
"Iran must agree that they will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. The Hormuz Strait must be immediately open, no tolls, for unrestricted shipping traffic, in both directions. All water mines (bombs), if any, will be terminated," Trump wrote in a social media post.
The U.S. Naval blockade "will now be lifted," said Trump.
Iran says no agreement finalized with U.S. yet, stresses right to manage Hormuz strait
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Friday that no agreement has been finalized with the United States yet and the exchange of messages between the two sides is continuing.
Baghaei made the remarks in a telephone interview with state-run IRIB TV, after U.S. President Donald Trump outlined conditions for a deal with Iran and said he would soon make a decision.
Baghaei reiterated that Iran's current focus in the negotiations "is on ending the war."
"We have no talk on details of the issues pertaining to Iran's uranium enrichment or enriched uranium at this stage," he said.
Russian drone hits Romanian apartment building, 2 injured
A Russian drone entered Romanian airspace and crashed into a residential apartment building, sparking a fire and injuring two people, Romania's National Defense Ministry announced on Friday.
According to the ministry, the injured individuals were taken to the Galati County Emergency Clinical Hospital.
It said that during the night from Thursday to Friday, the Russian Federation resumed drone attacks against targets in Ukraine, in the vicinity of Romania's river border.
Bulgaria to end U.S. military plane rights at end of June
Bulgaria will end the rights of U.S. military aircraft to stay in Sofia airport at the end of June, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev said on Friday.
The decision was made after Radev spoke to U.S. President Donald Trump earlier this month, insisting that the visa issue of Bulgarians be considered urgently, but has not received a positive answer.
Bulgarians are among the last European Union nationals not to have visa-free entry for tourist visits to the United States.
Netanyahu says Israeli army has crossed Litani River in southern Lebanon
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday said that Israeli ground forces had crossed the Litani River, beyond the "security zone" it controls in southern Lebanon.
Speaking with commanders during a visit to an armored division, Netanyahu said that the Israeli military is also operating in Beirut and the Beqaa Valley in eastern Lebanon.
He noted, "We are dealing Hezbollah a crushing blow."
At least 11 killed as Israel escalates attacks across southern Lebanon
Eleven people were killed and five others wounded on Friday as Israel intensified attacks on several areas in southern Lebanon, Lebanese official media reported.
Eight Syrian nationals were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Hartiyeh area near the coastal town of Adloun, the National News Agency reported.
A municipal police officer was killed in a drone strike on the village of Abaa, it said.
Separately, two people were killed and five wounded when a house was struck shortly after midnight in the village of Tayr Debba in the Tyre district, it added.
Mexico, U.S. conclude 1st formal round of USMCA review talks
Mexican and U.S. officials concluded the first formal round of negotiations in Mexico City on Friday as part of the review process for the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), Mexico's Economy Ministry said.
The talks covered key regional economic issues, including automotive rules of origin, steel and aluminum, and regional economic security, the ministry said in a statement.
The negotiation teams were led by Mexican Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard, and Jeffrey Gerrish, deputy U.S. trade representative.■
