PARAMARIBO, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname, is located at the mouth of the Suriname River and is the country's political, economic, and cultural center, as well as its main port. The inner city of Paramaribo retains a distinctive architectural complex and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2002.
