For more than 80 years, villagers in Huawu, a small village in Jiangxi Province, have honored 17 Red Army soldiers who planted pine trees before leaving for war - and never returned.
Every Qingming Festival, the villagers come to pay their respects.
Over generations, this tradition has become a living memory of sacrifice, a reminder that the peace and prosperity they enjoy today were hard-won by those who paved the way.
