TEHRAN, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The death toll from U.S.-Israeli attacks on a bridge in Iran's northern Alborz province on Thursday has risen to 13, the official news agency IRNA reported Friday.
The victims, including four women, were civilians from various backgrounds, including municipal workers, IRNA quoted Amir-Hossein Daneshkohan, director general of the provincial Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, as saying.
The B1 bridge, located in the provincial capital Karaj, is one of the highest bridges in the Middle East and among the most complicated projects in Iran. It was targeted twice with missiles on Thursday, and the attacks also wounded 95 people, IRNA said.
