French President Emmanuel Macron has reaffirmed that France is not taking part in the U.S.-Israeli military action against Iran.

PARIS, April 1 (Xinhua) -- French President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that France is not taking part in the military action launched by the United States and Israel against Iran, in response to accusations by U.S. President Donald Trump, local media reported.

"It is absolutely true that France, which was not consulted and is not part of the military offensive launched by the United States and Israel, is not taking part," Macron was quoted as saying by French news channel BFMTV.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump claimed that "France wouldn't let planes headed to Israel, loaded with military supplies, fly over French territory," describing the country as "very unhelpful" and warning that the United States would "remember."

Responding to these comments, the Elysee Palace reaffirmed that France's position remains unchanged. "We confirm this decision, which is consistent with France's stance since the beginning of the conflict," it said.

France has opposed the military operations launched by the United States and Israel against Iran, describing them as "outside international law."
