NANJIAN, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- In recent years, Gonglang Town in Nanjian Yi Autonomous County, southwest China's Yunnan Province, boasting an advantageous ecological environment and pleasant climate throughout the year, has actively revitalized the rural economy by developing water sports initiatives and promoting cultural tourism.
The town has established competitive, training, and experiential settings for a diverse range of open-water sports, and has proactively sought to host sports events and training programs. Additionally, it provides a host of cultural and tourism services, including catering and travel photography. These concerted efforts have created employment opportunities and diversified income sources for local villagers.
