MOROCCO, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chefchaouen, known as the "blue city" for its colored walls and alleys, is a popular tourist destination in northern Morocco.
It was founded as a military base in 1471 and its population grew quickly with Muslim and Jewish refugees fleeing from Spain.
