HAIKOU, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Haikou City, which was accredited by the Ramsar Convention as an international wetland city in 2018, is home to various coastal, river and artificial wetlands.
In recent years, Hainan has been strengthening the protection of wetlands and implemented various measures to protect and restore the ecological environment of wetland areas such as the wetland of Maiya River, the mangrove forest in Dongzhaigang National Nature Reserve, and Wuyuanhe wetland park.
