BEIJING, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (SINOSURE), the country's only policy-oriented insurer specializing in export credit insurance, saw steady business growth in 2023, the company said on Wednesday.
SINOSURE served over 200,000 clients and underwrote over 928.6 billion U.S. dollars worth of insured businesses in 2023, with both of those figures hitting record high.
The insurer offered approximately 770.8 billion dollars of short-term insurance, up 3.4 percent year on year.
In 2023, it stepped up its support for new forms of foreign trade exports, cross-border e-commerce and services trade exports, the company said.
SINOSURE is a state-funded and policy-oriented insurance company that promotes China's foreign economic and trade development and cooperation. It was officially launched and put into operation in 2001, and its services network now covers the whole country. Enditem
