Frank Van Den Broek from ABLOC CT won stage 4 of the 2023 Tour of Qinghai Lake in the rain, while Medellin's Wilmar Andres Paredes Zapata retained the yellow jersey.
MENYUAN, China, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Frank Van Den Broek from the Netherlands' ABLOC CT overcame rainy conditions to win the fourth stage of the 2023 Tour of Qinghai Lake in a time of four hours, 40 minutes and 50 seconds on Wednesday.
The fourth stage started at Huzhu and finished at Menyuan with a total distance of 189 kilometers, containing three intermediate sprints and one 3505-meter climb.
Stefano Gandin from Italy's Corratec Selle Italia took second place in 4:42:42, while Timothy Dupont from Belgium's Tarteletto-Isorex placed third.

After Stage 4, none of the four jerseys changed hands. Lyu Xianjing of the China Glory Continental Cycling Team held onto the Best Asian Rider blue jersey for three consecutive stages, while Wilmar Andres Paredes Zapata from Colombia's Medellin led the overall race and maintained the yellow jersey.
Henok Mulueberhan from Italy's Green Project-Bardiani CSF-Faizane and his teammate Alessio Nieri kept the green jersey and the polka-dot jersey respectively.
The fifth stage from Menyuan to Qilian will be held on Thursday. ■
