LOS ANGELES, May 23 (Xinhua) -- "Through the Lens: An Anti-Asian American Experience in 2021" opened Saturday in Southern California's San Gabriel Valley.
The week-long photo exhibition features over 50 photos.
It documents the rise of anti-Asian rhetoric and violence.
It also reflects the outpouring of support for the Asian-American community from all ethnicities and nationalities.
The photos were taken by 10 photojournalists, including Ringo Chiu, the 2021 Pulitzer Prize Winner.
Some Asian-Americans have experienced race or ethnicity-related hate incidents since the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Stop AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) Hate, 10,905 hate incidents against AAPI persons were reported from March 19, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2021, at the national level.
