Music coach Yue Lei teaches a child with autism in a vocal class in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province, May 14, 2022. Yue Lei, 33, is completely blind due to congenital optic atrophy. Yue, who has been interested in music since childhood, studied pop music in college and competed in singing competitions. He applied for a business loan after graduation to start an art training class in Hefei. Yue decided to teach music to these children almost for free after learning that some musical training centers refused to accept children with autism. Yue chose to instruct based on the children's interests. He would also research ways to improve their sense of rhythm. These children have made great strides thanks to Yue's instruction.
