DAKAR, April 16 (Xinhua) -- The energy and food prices in Senegal have continued to rise amid a series of global crises, pushing basics out of reach for many during Ramadan.
In Senegalese capital Dakar, many people complained that prices had risen too much, especially during Ramadan, when food consumption increased.
The Senegalese President Macky Sall has called for a general mobilization to further increase agricultural, livestock and fishing products to deal with risk of food shortages and soaring prices.
