BAGHDAD, April 12 (Xinhua) -- A strong dust storm hit the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Tuesday, causing almost no visibility in the streets, and prompting hundreds of people to be admitted to hospitals due to respiratory problems.
Sandstorms are common in Iraq's desert terrain, especially during the summer due to a strong northwesterly wind.
