NEW YORK, April 12 (Xinhua) -- At least 13 people were injured during a shooting at a subway station in the New York borough of Brooklyn Tuesday, and several undetonated devices were found on the spot, local authorities announced.
"In regard to the multiple people shot at the 36th Street subway station in Brooklyn, there are no active explosive devices at this time," the New York City Police Department said on Twitter, appealing citizens to avoid the area of the 36th Street and 4th Avenue area in Brooklyn.
U.S. President Joe Biden has been briefed on the latest developments regarding the New York City subway shooting, according to the White House.
Press secretary Jen Psaki tweeted on Tuesday morning that White House senior staff are in touch with New York City officials to offer any assistance as needed. ■
