BUDAPEST, March 26 (Xinhua) -- The 2022 Bocuse d'Or Europe International Chef Competition has concluded earlier this week in the Hungarian capital Budapest, with Denmark winning the first place.
The victory of Denmark, represented by Brian Mark Hansen, closed two days of competition and also the European selecting event of the world-famous gastronomy competition.
A total of ten European teams have qualified for the grand finale of the Bocuse d'Or which will be held in January 2023 in Lyon, France.
The top podium went to Denmark, Hungary and Norway, while Sweden, Iceland and Finland secured the 4th, 5th and 6th places respectively. The last four places were attributed to France, Britain, Switzerland and finally Belgium.
The Bocuse d'Or enables talented cooks to make a name for themselves on the international gastronomy scene. Since 2005, with the growing number of countries wishing to enter the contest, the Bocuse d'Or introduced preselection events by creating first the national rounds and then the continental qualifying events.
