BEIJING, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Reigning Olympic champion Suzanne Schulting of the Netherlands renewed the world record to one minute and 26.514 seconds in the women's 1,000 meter short track speedskating quarterfinals at the Beijing Winter Olympics on Friday.
The previous world record was 1:26.661 set by South Korea's Shim Suk-hee in a World Cup race in Calgary in 2012.
