BEIJING, March 10 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 21 km NE of Otobe, Japan at 1545 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 140.6 km, was initially determined to be at 42.11 degrees north latitude and 140.31 degrees east longitude. ■
