PHNOM PENH, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia strongly condemned a deadly terrorist attack at a concert hall in the suburbs of Moscow late Friday, said a Cambodian foreign ministry's statement released on Sunday.

"We are shocked by the deaths of dozens of people and hundreds injured in a terrorist attack at the Moscow Crocus Concert Hall on March 22, 2024," the statement said.

"The royal government of Cambodia condemns the vicious attack in the strongest possible terms," it added.

The statement said Cambodia extended its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and the Russian government, and wished a speedy and full recovery to those injured.

"Cambodia reiterates that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of motivation," it said. "We stand with the Russian government and people during this time of grief."

The death toll had risen to 133 in the attack in which gunmen stormed the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, northwest of Moscow, according to Russia's Investigative Committee on Saturday.
