LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- NASA has announced the four-member crew for its SpaceX Crew-14 mission to the International Space Station, with astronauts from the United States, Japan and Russia set to launch no earlier than spring 2027 for a long-duration science mission.
NASA astronauts Kayla Barron and Chris Birch will serve as the spacecraft commander and pilot, respectively, while Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Makoto Suwa and Roscosmos cosmonaut Arutyun Kiviryan will serve as mission specialists, according to NASA.
The mission will mark the 14th commercial crew rotation with SpaceX under NASA's Low Earth Orbit Program. The crew will conduct scientific investigations and technology demonstrations designed to support future human exploration of the Moon and Mars, as well as research benefiting people on Earth. ■
