LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Universal Studios Hollywood on Tuesday unveiled its first-ever high-speed outdoor roller coaster, "Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift," inspired by the popular film franchise.
The attraction will officially open to the public on Wednesday.
The new coaster features 360-degree rotation technology, allowing riders to experience a drifting sensation at speeds of up to about 116 km per hour.
The ride travels along approximately 1,250 meters of elevated track that winds over sections of the theme park, including the multi-level Starway escalator connecting the Upper and Lower Lots.
Universal Studios Hollywood said "Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift" is the fastest roller coaster in its portfolio. The new attraction adds to the theme park's lineup of rides based on popular film and television franchises, offering visitors a high-speed experience inspired by the high-speed driving sequences of "Fast & Furious." ■
