WASHINGTON, March 10 (Xinhua) -- A Pentagon spokesman said Tuesday that about 140 U.S. troops have been wounded, including eight seriously injured since the United States and Israel launched joint military attacks on Iran on Feb. 28.
"The vast majority of these injuries have been minor, and 108 service members have already returned to duty. Eight service members remain listed as severely injured and are receiving the highest level of medical care," Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement.
Thus far, seven U.S. service members have been killed in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia amid the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.
On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. goals in Iran are "pretty well complete." ■
