WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and one was injured in a shooting in South Carolina State University on Thursday night, according to U.S. media reports.
The school initiated a campus lockdown around 9:15 p.m. local time (0215 GMT) after receiving a report of the shooting, and the lockdown was still in effect several hours later.
The victims' identities and the condition of the wounded person are yet to be confirmed, according to the school's news release on Thursday night.
The university canceled Friday classes, and authorities had no information on the whereabouts of any suspect or suspects. ■
