At least 3 killed, 6 injured in pipeline explosion in southern Mexico

MEXICO CITY, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- An explosion at a pipeline of state-owned company Petroleos Mexicanos in Oaxaca, southern Mexico, has killed at least three people and injured six others, governor Salomon Jara said Tuesday.

In a social media post, Jara said that the injured have been transported for medical attention, adding that the explosion occurred in the locality of Loma Larga, in El Barrio de la Soledad municipality.

Jara said that firefighters responded immediately to the accident, and emergency crews are continuing risk mitigation and containment efforts in the area.
