Urgent: U.S. forces intercept, board on oil tanker in Indian Ocean: war dept.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. forces have stopped and boarded on an oil tanker in the Indian Ocean, the U.S. Department of War said on Monday.

"Overnight, U.S. military forces conducted a right-of-visit, maritime interdiction and boarding on the Aquila II without incident" in the Indian Ocean, said the U.S. Department of War on social media platform X. ■
