BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted 46 km southeast of Fox River, the U.S. state of Alaska, at 1733 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 23.9 km, was initially determined to be at 59.62 degrees north latitude and 150.28 degrees west longitude.
